Be true enough to keep an open mind, but wise enough to also have a closed mind...
I can imagine some of you are thinking huh? š§
Yep, that statement is kinda of confusing but Iāll go into more detail in exactly what I mean by being true enough to keep an open mind but wise enough to also have a closed mind.
But first letās speak about why weāre all here FEAR. So where does fear come from? Is it something that is in us since the caveman times? The answer is Yes. Is it something that kept us alive in the caveman times? That answer is also Yes. But itās now something that is a burden and stops us living our lives to our full potential, it puts us in a box š¦ allowing us not to pursue our dreams (when it comes to our passions and fears)
So the psychology behind fear and confidence issues all leads too....
LOW SELF ESTEEM, low self esteem ultimately means we have no trust in ourselves, we donāt believe in ourselves and we have zero confidence in ourselves. Leading to anxieties and āfearsā.
Ok, so where does low self esteem come from? Up bringing? Yes that is a possibility, society? Yes also a possibility. But the more common reason for low self esteem that Iāve seen in others is due to other equestrians within the horsey industry. This could be other liveries, judges, friends, yard owners, instructors the list goes on.
What do I mean by this comes from other equestrians?
We have all encountered those people who have criticisms to give that isnāt structured criticism but actually crippling criticism, so this is what I mean by staying true enough to have an open mind, but wise enough to have a closed mind.
Itās down to ourselves to have the power to switch on and off. To let comments that hinder us go over our head, or in one ear and out the other. This isnāt being narrow minded, I call this being a wise mind, a strong mind, a brave mind. As you know who you are. You know your strengths, you know your weakness and your powers.
So why let someone whoās opinion means nothing hinder your judgment on yourself.
A lot of people ask me wow your confidence has grown so much how did you do it? You must of had so many lessons? Actually no. I havenāt. Iāve had lessons at home by myself, teaching myself to understand how I work. Teaching myself to believe in myself. Confidence starts within...
So happy Friday, and always be true enough to keep an open mind, but wise enough to have a closed mind.
Youāve got this! ā¤ļø
