Cold mornings, cold nights

So Iโ€™d be lying if Iโ€™d say weโ€™ve all had an amazing summer competing, going to clinics, fun rides and enjoying everything horsey we the unfortunate events with covid-19 it has put us into a unmotivated, uncertain state. So how are we going to stay upbeat and motivated ready for the darker nights, rainy days and frozen hands ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿป?

1. Instead of getting your horse the latest collection of rugs (Iโ€™m guilty of this), ๐™ž๐™ฃ๐™ซ๐™š๐™จ๐™ฉ ๐™ž๐™ฃ ๐™จ๐™ค๐™ข๐™š ๐™™๐™š๐™˜๐™š๐™ฃ๐™ฉ ๐™ฌ๐™–๐™ฉ๐™š๐™ง๐™ฅ๐™ง๐™ค๐™ค๐™›๐™จ thereโ€™s nothing worse then getting soaking wet right through to your underwear ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

2. Go watch your favourite elite equestrian on Horse & Country TV this is a good way to feel ๐™ž๐™ฃ๐™จ๐™ฅ๐™ž๐™ง๐™š๐™™ and ๐™ช๐™ฅ๐™ก๐™ž๐™›๐™ฉ๐™š๐™™.

3. Winter gives us more quality time with our horses, with them staying in for longer and not wanting to go out as much. Take advantage of this and ๐™ง๐™š๐™˜๐™ค๐™ฃ๐™ฃ๐™š๐™˜๐™ฉ with your horse this winter.

4. Get out of bed early, bare with me. Sounds crazy, but thereโ€™s nothing more ๐™ช๐™ฅ๐™ก๐™ž๐™›๐™ฉ๐™ž๐™ฃ๐™œ then watching the sun come up whilst your riding your horse.

5. If this current climate lets us, go to a lecture demo. Brain storm some new schooling exercises to make you ๐™š๐™ญ๐™˜๐™ž๐™ฉ๐™š๐™™ to ride, ๐™ง๐™–๐™ž๐™ฃ or ๐™จ๐™๐™ž๐™ฃ๐™š. Or go and have a look at Paul Cornish Equestrian Online Training. For some motivating exercises!

6. Start a new discipline, this is always exciting. Me and blue have focused a lot on ๐™™๐™ง๐™š๐™จ๐™จ๐™–๐™œ๐™š this summer which is obviously will always be our thing. But weโ€™re tying some jumping this winter! Take the pressure off yourself and have ๐™›๐™ช๐™ฃ.

7. Do some online competitions! These are always so fun, inspiring and educational. E-Riders if your still wanting to compete this is a ๐™˜๐™๐™š๐™–๐™ฅ๐™š๐™ง ๐™–๐™ก๐™ฉ๐™š๐™ง๐™ฃ๐™–๐™ฉ๐™ž๐™ซ๐™š, at the comfort at your own yard! Win, win.

8. Donโ€™t back off your riding, this makes us miserable and makes us feel like all we do is clean poop all day long. Make sure you ๐™จ๐™ฉ๐™ž๐™˜๐™  ๐™ฉ๐™ค ๐™ฎ๐™ค๐™ช๐™ง ๐™ง๐™ž๐™™๐™ž๐™ฃ๐™œ ๐™ง๐™ค๐™ช๐™ฉ๐™ž๐™ฃ๐™š, come summer youโ€™ll look like Charlotte dujardin whilst feeling your riding ๐™—๐™ก๐™ช๐™š๐™—๐™š๐™ง๐™ง๐™ฎ. You wonโ€™t regret it.
